We’re excited to announce that we’re launching a new project in 2020 thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund. Make It is a twelve month program of creative workshops, making projects, and exhibitions designed to bring people together and build the creative community in Wigan.
To launch the project, we’re holding an open exhibition in our gallery, in order to showcase the wide range of creative talent and craftsmanship that Wigan beholds. Applications are welcomed from artists and makers who are at any stage of their career - this includes hobbyists, students, and children. It’ll be an eclectic display of what the most creative of Wigan’s residents past and present have to offer.
When will the Exhibition be?
The exhibition will be held in our gallery from Saturday 25th January - Saturday 14th March. There will be a launch event on the evening of Friday 24th January, 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

Entries are limited to artists who either live in Wigan Borough currently, or who have lived in Wigan Borough within the last five years.

Artworks should be ready to hang - either framed with mirror plates attached, or unframed with alternative fixings such as magnets or clips. Clip frames are not accepted. For selected artworks that are three-dimensional, we will discuss display options with you prior to the work being delivered to us.
