Clay Club: The Exhibition documents a year long exploration into ceramics with a community of people experiencing social isolation. The works created celebrate Wigan's Heritage, old and new; weaving together stories from the past and hopes for the future.
Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund Awards For All, our weekly Clay Club sessions have been an opportunity for those experiencing barriers in accessing the arts, to use ceramics as a form of creative expression. Bonded together by each other’s shared experiences and acceptance of differences, a true community has been formed with art as a tool for wellness at its centre.
Clay Club: The Exhibition will take place at Trencherfield Mill on Wednesday 24th April 2024 and will be open to the public from 11:30 AM until 4:00 PM.
If you would like to support the future of Clay Club we will be collecting donations and selling handmade items to ensure the longevity of this creative community.
