It's time for the 3rd annual STEAMfest , a chance for young people to explore all that's new in the worlds of science and engineering.
This year we're being supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering to run lots of exciting activities for young people to learn more about science and engineering. This event is perfect for any young person who enjoys making, creating, coding, gaming.....and slime!
The fun starts at 1pm with a one hour long, hands on engineering show with our friends from Mad Science. Places are limited so be sure to be here early to bag your chair or bean bag!
There will be opportunities to code robots, take engineering challenges, build structures, work with scientists and technologists to make remote controlled vehicles, learn about 3D printing, make glow in the dark slime and loads more activities.
STEAMfest is free but places are STRICTLY limited to 30 children and young people, with a maximum of two adults accompanying them. Only children need to have a ticket.
1. If you book a ticket and then find you can't attend PLEASE return it to a place can be offered to a young person on the waiting list.
2. You don't have to stay for the whole afternoon but please be aware that the science show is seated and participants will be expected to stay for the duration.
3. Our building is fully accessible, unfortunately we do not have a disabled toilet onsite but there is one two minutes walk away.
4. There will be plenty of noise, smells and lights on the day - there will be a cosy, quiet area for children who might need to take some time out from the fun.
