This World of Ours
Commissioned by Lancashire Wildlife Trust, we delivered a series of workshops with a group of young people which explored how we could encourage people to visit our local green spaces. We took the group on visits to Wigan Flashes and designed traditional tourist postcards for people to send to their friends and family, from a pop-up post box in Wigan Flashes. You can download the postcards to send to your friends and family here.
Make Some More Noise
We were commissioned by the Museum of Wigan Life to co-design an audio walking tour with a group of young people from Wigan. Based around Wigan's musical heritage and current musical landscape, the tour launched in September 2023. To find out more about opportunities to experience the tour, follow the Museum of Wigan Life on Facebook.
Streets Apart Festival
Emily Calland (Everyday's Engagement Director) was commissioned to create a puppet that represented a person from Wigan. After design workshops with all of our community groups, Emily took part in a residency to create Frankie, who was brought over to Wigan to take part in the parade at the Streets Apart Festival over the summer.
Dementia Friendly Clay Club
Everyday received funding from Dementia United's Big Brain Health Fund to deliver a 10 week ceramics group, targeted at people with dementia and people caring for those experiencing dementia. Over 10 weeks, participants learned how to create their own artwork with clay and had the opportunity to socialise with others who share the same lived experiences.
Clay Club
In 2023, we were awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to set up a free, daytime pottery session for those in the community who may be struggling with their mental health and at risk of social isolation. The project included 40 weeks of free pottery classes and lunch, culminating in an exhibition at Trencherfield Mill, showcasing pottery created by the group.
Ella Jones' School Residency
Funded by GMCA, Ella Jones worked within and delivered workshops in a primary & high school over a 6 week period. The students were able to see an artist working on their own art pieces and had the opportunity to engage in creative workshops. In total Ella engaged with 814 young people in total.

Feedback from the project:
"students gained a greater understanding of Art, culture and careers. They learnt and experienced new techniques that are difficult to normally plan in the classroom"
